The amazing sovereign grace of God is the divine provision for men who are sinfully corrupt and enslaved by Satan do to his will (2 Tim. 2:24-26). They have no desire for Jesus, they do not seek Him and they have no ability to come to Him unless the Father draws them (Rom. 3:11; John 6:44). They are spiritually dead in their sins and have been blinded by Satan such that they cannot see the light of the Gospel or the glory of Christ (Eph. 2:1; 2 Cor. 4:4).

However, there is a remnant, chosen by grace (Rom. 11:5). Even when they were dead in their trespasses, God made HIs chosen ones alive together with Christ by His grace, so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace (Eph. 2:5, 7). God did this so the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified according to His grace (2 Thes. 1:12).
