Those who know the Lord Jesus Christ also know that He is the incarnate Word of God (John 1:1; 14). He is the Living Word of God, who came from heaven to reveal the true God to man and redeem all who believe in Him. It should not surprise us that the Son of God and the Word of God have many common attributes.

Both bring forth life (John 5:21, James 1:18)
Both are Light: (John 12:46; Ps 119:105)
Both have come from God (John 14:24; 17:7-8)
Both are spiritually nourishing (John 6:33-35)
Both judge us (John 12:48)
Both are hated by the world (John 7:7; 15:18; Rev 6:9)
Both are sanctifying (John 17:17-19)
Both restore rest to the soul (Matthew 11:28; Psalm 19:7)
Both are our wisdom (1 Corinthians 1:24; Psalm 119:99)
Both are a source of joy (John 15:22; Psalm 19:8)
Both enlighten our eyes (Luke 24:31; Psalm 19:8)
Both never change (Hebrews 13:8; Psalm 19:9)
Both are righteous (1 John 2:1; Psalm 19:9)
Both judge the thoughts of the heart (Matthew 9:4; Heb. 4:12)

As we abide in God’s Word we will know the truth and the truth will set us free from the bondage of sin and deception (John 8:31-32). Glory to Jesus Christ who came to seek and to save the lost (Luke 19:10).
