Grace is a divine provision for men who are so sinfully corrupt that they have no desire for God and no ability to come to Him. Their sin has made them so blind that they cannot see Him, so deaf that they cannot hear Him and so dead they cannot respond to Him. The Lord Jesus said. "Strive to enter in at the narrow gate: for many will seek to enter in, and shall not be able!" (Luke 13:24). That Jesus should utter such a statement, implies that there will be obstacles to overcome. Those who desire to be in heaven with the Lord Jesus Christ must overcome the schemes of Satan. His false teachers are standing in front of the narrow gate saying, "This is not the way, it is the broad way, where your good works and religious activity will get you in." Satan blinds people from the light of the Gospel with religious pride. He nullifies and opposes God's Word with traditions of men. As the prince of the world, he destroys souls with worldly seductions and "feel good" messages. Unless sinners repent and believe Christ and His Word, their eternal destiny in hell awaits them at death.
