The Lord Jesus Christ was immersed in the wrath of a sin-avenging God so that divine justice could be appeased for all who trust Him alone. He bore the sins of His people so that forgiveness of sins and eternal life could be offered as a gift of His grace by faith. He died once for all sin for all time, there are no more offerings for sin (Heb. 10:10, 12, 18). He was raised for our justification (Rom. 4:25).

Those who believe Christ is not sufficient to save them completely and forever are woefully deceived. By adding their good works, performing religious rituals, worshipping a Eucharistic Christ and trusting in their own righteousness, they are denying the words and work of our Great God and Savior. They are on the wide road to destruction with every one else who believes the fatal lies of the devil. Their only hope is to obey the first command of Jesus, “Repent and believe the Gospel” (Mark 1:15).
