No wonder the world hates faithful witnesses for the Lord Jesus Christ. His Gospel is offensive to those who are offensive to God. When we tell unbelievers that their deeds are so evil that they deserve divine punishment in the eternal lake of fire, they mock us. Wherever we shine the light of the Gospel, they run because they love the darkness that hides their sin.

It is no wonder why so many religious leaders remove the offense of the Gospel from their messages. It is no wonder why the wickedness of sin and the call to repentance are left out of their messages. You will often here them say, "Who am I to judge?" The desire to be popular and loved by all is more important to them than being approved by God (Gal. 1:10). The Lord said, “Woe to you when ALL men speak well of you” (Luke 6:26)
