Pope Francis claims that Hell does not exist and that condemned souls just " disappear." This is not only a blatant rejection of the words of the Lord Jesus Christ, it is also a denial of the 2,000-year-old teaching of the Catholic Church on the reality of Hell and the eternal existence of the soul. The pope made this outrageous claim in an interview on March 28, when he declared, "those who do not repent and cannot therefore be forgiven disappear. There is no hell, there is the disappearance of sinful souls."

The Pope is denying the words of the one and only true Head of the Church. He is calling Jesus a liar because the Lord Jesus spoke more about hell than he did about heaven.

Jesus said this to the false teachers of the first century. “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, because you travel around on sea and land to make one ]proselyte; and when he becomes one, you make him twice as much a son of hell as yourselves (Mat 23:15). “You serpents, you brood of vipers, how will you escape the ]sentence of hell? (Mat 23:33).

The Vatican press office has issued a mild statement indicating no quotation in the article can “be considered as a faithful transcription of the words of the Holy Father." HOwever, if the pope was indeed misquoted, why doesn’t he come out and tell the world from his "holy" balcony in St. Peter’s. Why leave 1.2 billion Catholics confused and upset?

When will Catholics wake up and realize they are being led down the wide road to destruction by a wolf in sheep's clothing?
