Pope Francis offered a prayer to the Virgin Mary, entrusting the whole world to her protection in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic. Following is part of his prayer, "O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope. We entrust ourselves to you, Salvation of the Roman People, you know what we need. Mike's Comment:  Where is God in the Vatican's messages? In the divinely inspired Scriptures we read, "He (God) alone is my protector and deliverer. He is my refuge; I will not be upended" (Psalm 62:6). I write this not to be offensive, but to warn Catholics  that they need to repent and turn to Christ and His Word, not to Mary or the pope. Knowing that this kind of deception would be widespread, Paul warned: "I am afraid that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds will be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ" (2 Cor. 11:3).
